It is good to see the plants and blossoms coming out of hiding. Spring seemed to take an extra long time getting here this year. It is lovely to hear the birds singing outside my window and see green on the hills around the valley.

They are a sight for sore eyes. Lovely paintings!

Fay, NOW I realise of whom I’m always thinking when I see your wonderful work: Edith Holden…. does that name mean anything to you?! I just bought her gardener’s diary IN FRENCH for an English friend living in France. That was unexpected for me too, and you both have this really beautiful way of showing off nature at its best.
I hope your health is improving steadily and that you can enjoy spring – we went full tilt from winter and heating to summer – one day the heating was on, the next we had 33°C in the shade…. it’s not normal but who are we to complain?! (Apart from my hay-fever/pollen/perfume allergy being back in full force)

5ank you for visiting and for your kind compliment, Kiki. Yes, I am familiar with Edith Holden’s book, The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady. It is a treasury of natural things. Nature is what I am most drawn to, also. The book will make a great gift for your friend.
I am steadily healing and see progress every day. I am counting my blessings. I hope your allergies clear up soon so you can enjoy the wonderful sunshine! Happy Spring! And blessings to you!

Lovely work and an inspiration for me to get going seriously with my own diary about helping my little autistic friend. I’m wondering how I can incorporate images of plants into the pages. I suppose I should just do it. Everything in the garden is suddenly springing into life and that’s a joy we can all share wherever we are. Hope your recovery continues and thanks for your efforts.

Thank you rodison14. So glad you stopped by. Yes, definitely you can incorporate flowers and other natural subjects into a page. Most of the time my approach is to draw something first and then add some writing around it. I think you will find drawing flowers to be very healing. Blessings with your work.
